On the afternoon of January 11th, the founding ceremony of the Law Branch of Southeast University Beijing Alumni Association and the 2025 New Year Tea Party were held at the InterContinental Beijing North Star Hotel. Representatives from alumni associations in Beijing, Guangdong, Nanjing, Xuzhou, and Lianyungang, as well as legal industry alumni in Beijing, gathered together. Leaders and teachers from Southeast University Law School, including Party Secretary Liu Qichuan, Dean Xiong Zhanglin, Vice Dean Shan Pingji, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean Chen Yun, Vice Dean Ji Yang, Director of the Alumni Work Committee Gao Ge, and Office Director Dong Guozhen, witnessed the establishment of the Law Branch of Southeast University Beijing Alumni Association, discussed the future of the Law Branch together, and welcomed the upcoming Spring Festival of the Year of the Snake.

Zhao Hailong, the first Vice President and Secretary General of the Legal Branch, presided over the meeting.

Gao Ge, Director of the Alumni Working Committee of Southeast University Law School, reported on the preparatory work of the Beijing Alumni Association Law Branch.

Liu Yong, Executive Vice President of Southeast University Beijing Alumni Association, read out the Reply on Agreeing to Establish the Legal Branch of Southeast University Beijing Alumni Association and the list of candidates for the first organizational structure of the Legal Branch.

Ma Qixiang, Honorary President of the Beijing Alumni Association of Southeast University, delivered a speech. President Ma Qixiang solemnly announced the establishment of the Law Branch of the Beijing Alumni Association of Southeast University, and provided guidance on the work direction of the Law Branch after its establishment, expressing the hope that the Law Branch can unite alumni of the Law School and those engaged in legal related work in Beijing, promote alumni exchanges, support alumni development, and actively give back to the alma mater in teaching, research, social services, and other aspects.

Subsequently, President Ma presented the flag to the members of the first organizational structure of the Beijing Alumni Association Law Branch. Wang Xiaoli, the President of the Legal Branch, warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked the attending guests on behalf of the Legal Branch, and expressed the determination of the first organizational structure of the Legal Branch to unite and work together to do a good job in service work.

Wang Tiejian, Executive Vice President of the Beijing Alumni Association of Southeast University, delivered a speech at the meeting. Vice President Wang Tiejian warmly congratulated the establishment of the Law Branch and put forward many useful suggestions on how law industry alumni can quickly establish trust, cooperate and assist with alumni from other industries in the Beijing Alumni Association.

Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, first warmly congratulated the establishment of the Law Branch of the Beijing Alumni Association. Secondly, Secretary Liu introduced the discipline development and achievements of the Law School in recent years to the attending guests, and explained in detail the specific meanings of Wen Rui Fa Yun stops at perfection and jointly promoting, sharing, uniting and advancing. Secretary Liu stated that the Law School of Southeast University will spare no effort to support the establishment and development of alumni associations in various regions. At the same time, he hopes that the Law Branch of the Beijing Alumni Association and alumni in the legal industry in Beijing can always uphold the principles of warmth and sharpness, support each other, unite and strive forward.

Rui Zhenhua, Deputy Director of the Development Committee of Southeast University, delivered a speech congratulating the establishment of the Law Branch of the Beijing Alumni Association, stating that the school attaches great importance to alumni work and has been continuously enriching and improving the connotation and quality of serving alumni in recent years. He also listed the outstanding contributions made by alumni associations in promoting alumni cooperation and supporting the development of the alma mater. He hoped that after the establishment of the Law Branch of the Beijing Alumni Association, it would strengthen communication and exchange with other alumni associations, provide a platform for alumni in the legal industry, and jointly promote development.

Bian Pengxuan, President of the Legal Branch of the Nanjing Alumni Association of Southeast University, Li Jian, Vice Presidents Shen Dingcheng, Zhang Fengzhen, Vice President of the Legal Branch of the Xuzhou Alumni Association of Southeast University, Cao Haibing, President of the Legal Branch of the Lianyungang Alumni Association of Southeast University, and Ye Jianxiao, Vice President of the Legal Branch of the Guangdong Alumni Association of Southeast University, attended the meeting to congratulate the establishment of the Beijing Legal Branch and presented gifts.

Alumni representatives Geng Xin, Xun Liang, Xia Wei, Hu Guoqing, Pan Xiaosong, Li Ling, and others vividly and interestingly shared their past experiences with the Faculty of Law at Northeastern University, their personal life as a migrant worker, and their imaginations about the Beijing Law Branch.

Professor Watson, President of the Beijing Alumni Association of Southeast University, delivered a speech. Professor Watson first congratulated the successful completion of this conference. Secondly, Professor Watson paid attention to the practical impact that the law may have on the economy, market, and enterprises, and shared his insights and experiences on the revision of the new Company Law. He hopes that the legal professionals at Dongda can utilize their intelligence and professional expertise, tirelessly work in their respective positions, and contribute their due strength to the development of China's rule of law construction.

The successful holding of the founding ceremony of the Law Branch of Southeast University Beijing Alumni Association not only provides a platform for alumni in Beijing to connect, exchange information, and seek common development, but also is an important measure for Southeast University Law School to gather alumni strength, inherit the spirit of the school, and promote the vigorous development of various affairs of the school. In the future, we look forward to the Beijing Alumni Association Law Branch building a multidimensional system for alumni services, establishing a sense of work among all alumni, working together, and adding new brilliance to the lives and careers of alumni, opening up new prospects for the acceleration and upgrading of the college.
