On the afternoon of January 3rd, in order to deepen the construction of the service capacity of grassroots party organizations and build a new pattern of grassroots party building work with party building leading, resource sharing, complementary advantages, and coordinated development, the International Law Faculty Branch of Southeast University Law School jointly organized a party member joint learning and construction activity with the Party Branch of Suzhou International Commercial Court. Associate Professor Yi Bo, Secretary of the International Law Faculty Branch of Southeast University Law School, Associate Professor Ye Quan, Deputy Director (on secondment) of Southeast University Talent Office and Director of International Law Teaching and Research Office, Associate Professor Yu Tao, Deputy Director (on secondment) of Southeast University Policy Research Office, as well as Master's student party members and active party applicants Cha Yunyi, Xue Yan, Cai Jiateng, Jia Bei, Liu Hongjie, Xu Jingya, Gong Yudan, Zhu Shuyao, and Tong Qi participated in this event.
Our faculty, students, and party members first visited Suzhou International Commercial Court to gain a deeper understanding of the court's litigation service center and digital construction achievements. Yang Enqian, Vice President of Suzhou Intermediate People's Court, and Cai Yanfang, President of Suzhou International Commercial Court, led the attendees to conduct on-site inspections and briefly introduced the court's practical experience in promoting the digitization of international commercial case trials. Subsequently, both parties had in-depth discussions at a symposium on party building learning and business exchanges.
At the symposium, the two sides first learned the Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Further Deepening Reform and Promoting Chinese path to modernization. Subsequently, President Cai Yanfang highlighted the innovative practices and cases of the Suzhou International Commercial Court in applying the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, demonstrating the court's positive contributions in serving an outward oriented economy and optimizing the international business environment. Vice President Ding Bing and post judge Li Cheng also shared their experience and legal issues faced in international commercial case trials based on specific cases.
Our teacher representatives have expressed their professional opinions from the perspective of combining legal theory with practical application. Teacher Yibo affirmed the practical innovation of the court and pointed out that party building and joint construction activities can effectively promote the two-way improvement of theory and practice. Teacher Yu Tao and Teacher Ye Quan combined international law teaching and policy research, and put forward constructive suggestions for case discussions.
Both sides will further exchange ideas on party building, scientific research cooperation, and talent cultivation. Professor Yibo stated that through this joint construction activity, the Law School of Southeast University will further leverage its disciplinary advantages, explore new models of deep integration between party building and business, and build a shared platform for law teaching and judicial practice. President Cai Yanfang stated that the Suzhou International Commercial Court will continue to strengthen cooperation with universities, leverage academic resources and intellectual support, and promote the high-quality development of the International Commercial Court.
This party member joint learning and construction activity has built a bridge for the exchange and cooperation between Southeast University Law School and Suzhou International Commercial Court, and injected new vitality into the deepening of grassroots party building work. In the future, both parties will take this event as an opportunity to continuously expand the depth of cooperation, work together in talent cultivation, case studies, academic exchanges, and other aspects, and assist in the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents and the development of judicial practice.
