In order to strengthen the construction of grass-roots party organisations, improve the level of party members‘ education and management, and promote new breakthroughs in the work led by party building, the Party Committee of the School of Law grandly held the 2024 Annual Duty Reporting Evaluation and Assessment Meeting for the Secretaries of Teachers’ and Staff's Party Branches on 26 December 2024 in the conference room on the fourth floor. Hu Qiang, deputy division-level organiser of the Organization Department of the Party Committee, Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the Law School, Yang Jie, Secretary of the Constitutional Affairs Teaching Staff Branch, Yang Zhiqiong, Discipline Inspection Member of the Criminal Law Teaching Staff Branch, Wang Weiling, Secretary of the Civil and Commercial Affairs Teaching Staff Branch, Yi Bo, Secretary of the International Law and Jurisprudence Teaching Staff Branch, Wang Weiwei, Secretary of the Administration Teaching Staff Branch, Song Ningwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, were present at this meeting. The meeting was presided over by Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean.
Deputy Secretary Chen Yun introduced the key contents of the duty evaluation and assessment against the latest requirements of the Education Working Committee of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on the duty reporting of the secretaries of grassroots party organisations: firstly, to carry out theoretical study and in-depth study and education on party discipline; secondly, to give full play to the role of the battleships of grassroots party organisations and the vanguard role of the party members; thirdly, to improve the system of deliberation and decision making and the mechanism of coordination and operation; fourthly, to enhance the overall effectiveness of the party Fourth, to enhance the overall effectiveness of the party's organisational system; Fifth, to strengthen the construction of party members, the strict implementation of the party's organisational life system. The debriefing adopts a combination of PPT reporting and oral presentation to ensure that the debriefing content is comprehensive, detailed and vivid. The branch secretaries focused on the assessment points, reported in detail on the past year's work, achievements, as well as existing problems and shortcomings. Subsequently, the participants of the party branch secretary's reportage conducted a serious evaluation, and combined with the usual work performance, the performance of the comprehensive scoring.
In the review session, Hu Qiang, deputy division-level organiser of the Party Organisation Department, and Liu Qichuan, secretary of the Party Committee of the Faculty of Law, focused their comments on the duty reporting of each branch in the light of the actual situation.
Mr Hu Qiang stressed the importance of party branch secretary's duty report, expressed full affirmation on the achievements of the Law School in party building, the creation of ‘Wenrui’ party building brand, and the activities carried out by each branch in combination with the characteristics of the discipline of law, and also pointed out the room for improvement in the structure of the branch and the work of the comprehensive and in-depth development, and put forward three points of hope: first, to enhance the quality of the work of the party branch, to enhance the quality of the work of the law school, to strengthen the party's ability to build up the party's strengths. He also pointed out that there is room for improvement in the structure and work of the branches, and put forward three hopes: firstly, to enhance the political function and organisational function as the focus, continue to promote the standardised construction of the branches; secondly, to improve the quality of the work of further promoting the development of party members; and thirdly, to play a role as the guide, to promote the effective education and management of the party members.
Liu Qichuan, secretary of the Law School 2024, fully affirmed the role of the faculty party branch as a fighting fortress and the vanguard role of the staff members, and highly praised the branches for solidly carrying out the work of learning and education on party discipline, organisational life, and democratic evaluation, and at the same time put forward the three expectations for the future work of the branches: firstly, to raise the political standpoint, to strengthen the political role, and to fully promote the deployment of all the decisions. The second is to continue to promote the integration of party building and business, adhere to the party building work and business work objectives in the same direction, deployment synchronisation, work with the same effort; the third is to learn from the experience of the advanced standard, through the ‘National Seminar on the High Quality Development of Party Building in the Discipline of Law’ and other activities, to broaden the development of ideas, and to make new breakthroughs in the national level results.
The convening of this meeting is not only a comprehensive summary and review of the work of the faculty and staff of the Party branch in the past year, but also an outlook and planning for the future work. The faculty and staff of the School of Law will take this meeting as an opportunity to excel and move forward, and contribute their strength to the vigorous development of the School's career.
